Carpet Cleaning Melksham
Our 8-Stage Professional Carpet Cleaning Process
1/ Carpet Survey
We carry out a 5 point inspection.
- Check that the carpets are firmly fastened down
- Determine the carpet’s structure and fibre kind.
- Determine the PH of the carpet pile.
- Look for any leftover chemicals.
- To avoid colour bleed, conduct a dye bleed test.
2/ Dry Extraction.
We give the carpets a good vacuum using our professional grade, twin engine, upright hoover.
In your carpet, dry soiling makes about 80–85% of the total dirt.
Removing this important before we introduce moisture.
3/ Carpet Pre-Spray
After doing a carpet survey, we will identify the fibre type of your carpet and recommend an eco-friendly pre-treatment.
This is sprayed straight into your carpet to begin dissolving any dirt or soil prior to extraction.
We use our commercial-grade, contra rotating brush machine, to agitate the prespray into the fibres of the carpets.
As the dirt is loosened, the pile is also lifted.
5. Spray Extraction
Spray extraction provides the most thorough cleaning for your carpets (when performed by skilled specialists).
Our top-of-the-line extraction machine sprays an acidic rinse onto the carpet and then extracts it.
6. Spot Treatment
After we finish the spray extraction, we will go over your carpets to search for any spots or stains that need to be treated further.
We will use a proper stain treatment, using eco-friendly chemicals.
7. Stain Protection
This is the stage at which we will apply our stain protector if you requested it.
Stain guards will aid in the removal of future spills and grime, but they are not impenetrable!
8. Pile Brush
To lift the pile, we use a grooming brush to go over the carpet.
This allows air to travel throughout the carpet, reducing drying time, and encouraging the carpet to stand up once dry.
Why Get Your Carpets Cleaned?
– Why use a professional?
A single square metre of carpet may harbour about 100,000 dust mittes.
A dead mitte and its droppings can account for up to 10% of the weight of a two-year-old cushion.
Vacuuming alone will NOT eliminate them.
Pets can carry a variety of germs and bacteria on their coats and hair, as well as in their saliva around their lips.
It will be collected by the largest air filter in your home (your carpet)!
Greasy hands, muddy shoes, and mud are just a few things that youngsters like to track onto your carpets.
Having your carpets professionally cleaned will help prevent the spread of mittes, germs, and bacteria to your child.
Most people consider taking care of themselves and their families to be second nature, which is just one of the reasons why you should have your carpets PROFESSIONALLY cleaned on a regular basis.
Carpet is best thought of as your home’s largest air filter.
It remains there day after day, accumulating dust and filth from the air, dogs, and footwear, to mention a few, before being driven further into the fibres by daily traffic.
All of this is removed by a professional thorough cleaning.
Allergies to house dust mittes are highly frequent and lead to conditions such as asthma and eczema.
With one square metre of carpet containing an average of 67 grammes of dust, the mittes have plenty to feed on.
The House Dust Mite
A serious threat to your health
It is generally the proteins in the mitte’s excrement that trigger the allergy, not the mitte itself.
Again, with dust mittes creating up to 200 times their bodyweight in excrement every day, it’s no surprise that so many people are suffering.
This is especially important if you have little children. Babies and toddlers spend a lot of time crawling and rolling on the floor, bringing them in close contact with the disturbed dust.
Our 8-step deep carpet cleaning technique will assist to lessen the effects of dust mittes while also providing a healthier atmosphere for you and your family.
We all adore our cats and dogs and consider them family members. They may however, may be causing allergies in certain people.
Their saliva, urine, and other fluids include allergen-causing proteins, and their hair collects dust, fleas, and pollen that gets stuck in carpets when they shed.
Our pets’ dead skin, or dander, gathers on carpets.
In addition to being sticky and clingy, pet allergies can linger in the air after being disturbed.
Pet dander is carried on clothing, exposing even non-pet owners.
Aesthetics – Looking nice.
Our home is our largest investment, and as such, we want it to appear excellent at all times (but especially when friends and neighbours visit).
As much as we dislike admitting it, we all have a keen eye for décor and furniture while visiting someone’s home.
A dirty carpet will almost certainly stand out like a sore thumb.
Having a professional carpet cleaned on a regular basis will ensure that you are noticed for the correct reasons and that your guests return.

Why use a professional?
It’s in the wording “professional”.
For the work to be done RIGHT, we have the expertise, understanding, and experience along with top-notch equipment and cleaning solutions.
We frequently attend jobs where the customer has attempted to remove a stain or spill using an old wives” tale or a “Doctor Google” remedy. Oh dear.
Unfortunately, instead of eliminating the stain, this DIY method typically sets it, making it hard or even impossible to remove.
Unsuitable carpet care products might cause more harm than good, necessitating a total carpet replacement.
Choosing the right agitation brushes and machine pressure is critical to reducing machine wear.
Finally, use an acidic rinse to restore the carpet’s PH level (to ensure the dye is left stable and also reduce any chance of skin irritation to you, your family and pets).
Unclean carpets look, feel, and smell bad. Professional cleaning keeps carpets clean longer. By minimising and removing detergent residues from the cloth.
Would you try plastering or installing a new boiler? I doubt it. You’d hire a pro.
While we have never had to call our insurance to file a claim, it is critical that we have all of the necessary insurances as a professional organisation.
That way, if something goes wrong, you can rest certain that we have a plan in place and can handle any problems that emerge.
Many cowboys don’t, so always inquire before scheduling anybody.
You can always call us if you have any questions.
We’re always pleased to talk and address any problems you might have.
