Oven Cleaning

Our 8-Stage Professional Oven Cleaning Process

1/ Inspection /Survey

The first step of our visit is to give the appliance a look over and check everything is in working order, we will look at the fan, controls, seal, fixings bulb housing to name a few.

If we find anything that may need attention we will make you aware before we start any cleaning.

2/ Preparation

Oven cleaning is a messy job as you can imagine.

It’s important we protect the area and items around your appliance to ensure there’s no chance of splashed hitting them.

We will lay down dust sheets and protection to ensure this does not happen.

3/ Racks, fan and bulb

We remove the bulb cover, fan cover and fan along with the racks and rack holders ready for dipping.

Each oven is different and certain ovens the fan and or rack holders may not be removable in which case we clean it inside the oven.

4. Dipping

We then take the removed parts out to the van where we dip the appropriate items in our top of the range dip tank which will have now reached max temperature.

This makes light work of even the most stubborn carbon. Again not all items can be dipped and if not we have alternative ways to clean them.

5. Clean Inside the Oven

The inside of the oven is then heated before we start to scrub, This makes the grease and dirt easier to remove.

Once we are happy it is clean we will then rinse it out TWICE to ensure no residue is left inside the oven.

6. Door strip down

Where possible the door is stripped down to get to the inside glass, some doors have 2 panels and some 3.

The door is usually removed at this process and the grease gulley is also cleaned. The glass is given a good clean before putting back together and the door re fixed.

7. Finishing touches

We go over the entire oven with a final wipe down and dry both inside and out to ensure its sparkling.

Where applicable we will use a special stainless steel oil to give a streak free finish, a very nice touch.

8. Tidy up and checks.

We then tidy up all our protective sheets and cleaning equipment before going over the oven with our final checks to ensure everything is back together and working as it should be.

We will usually heat the oven up to check for any cleaning residue we may have missed so your oven is ready to use straight away.

Why Get Your Oven Cleaned?

Cleaning an oven can be a hard work, difficult and time consuming as well as the fact you have to use chemicals, but failing to clean it can cause serious problems.

When you cook food inside your oven there is often spills and food that gets stuck on the grills, sides and base of the oven, particularly when cooking things like roast dinners where there’s lots of fat involved.

This food residue will burn and in the worst case scenario catch fire and at the very least leave a smoky taste on whatever else you cook in your oven.

This food residue also carries germs which left untreated will contaminate any further food you cook in your oven and inevitably infect your meals and then you and your family

There’s also the health of the oven itself. The same food residue can get stuck to the ovens mechanical parts and filters resulting in reduced efficiency and potential failure of the oven itself.

The good news is that a regular deep clean of your oven will help prevent all this and in the long term save you having to purchase a new oven.

Does your oven look like this?

Aesthetics

Our home is our biggest investment and as such we want to keep it looking good, especially when having friends and neighbours around.

Imagine having friends or family around for dinner only for them to see a dirty oven!

Having a regular professional oven clean will certainly get noticed for the right reasons and have your visitors visiting again

Why use a professional?

It’s in the wording “professional”, we have the correct, training, knowledge and experience along with top of the range equipment and the latest cleaning solutions to get the job done RIGHT.

Ovens are expensive to replace, removing a door wrong or breaking an element could result in a broken oven.

We know what we are doing and have the experience to know when NOT to strip doors if there’s a danger of damaging them.

Some oven doors come apart very easy but putting them back on is another story.

Every step of our process has been designed to give the best possible results whilst eliminating the risk of causing any damage to the oven itself.

A professional clean will not only leave your oven looking clean and working more efficiently but your food should taste as it should with no nasty smoke taste or risk of germs from food residue.

Would you have a go at plastering your house, or installing a new boiler?

I’m guessing not you would choose a professional, do the same with your oven 🙂
